About Us

Krista Scott

I have had a strong love for all animals all of my life.  However, my "favorite" was always the German Shepherd dog.  As a child I always knew that I wanted to do something with animals when I "grew up."  :-)

In 1994 I bought my first German Shepherd, she was a plush coat.  We did everything together, I trained her myself and she was the perfect dog!!

We had a very strong relationship and through out all of this I soon came to realize that having these dogs in my life was something that I needed and wanted to do - a calling if you will.

My first plans were to breed German Shepherds and have a pet cemetary.  Because of my love for animals I thought that having a pet cemetary would be a great service and memorial to all animals that I loved so much.  With this thought in mind I purchased my first home with 99 acres of land.  Due to different circumstances in my life at the time this did not happen right away like I had hoped.

However several years later my "dream" of breeding these wonderful dogs has finally become a reality.

Throughout my time in "dreaming" I came across my first Long Haired German Shepherd and was completely blown away by their beauty and personality.  From that point on I knew that this was the line of German Shepherd that I wanted to be a part of.

I purchased my first Long Hair in 2003 (Jerzie).

Because I am serious about breeding these wonderful dogs the "right way" and for the love of the breed I have done much research on the breed as well as have and still have the fortunate help of the great support from other breeders.

It has been 5 years since I have started my breeding program, which doesn't start with a litter. It has taken me a lot of time, research, consideration and learning to get to my desired point and line in which I would like to breed.

Also, I thought it was important to take courses in Obedience Training and Animal Science so that I would have the proper skills on training, behaviour, medical, etc.. which I have accomplished both.

I can only hope for my future that I will be a much reputable breeder as those that I have purchased my dogs from and I am sure with my determination, love of the breed and the continued help from these great people that I will be just that someday :-)
