Health Guarantee

Our puppies do come with a health guarantee.

The puppy's general health is guaranteed for 72 hours after receipt of the puppy.  Every puppy must be examined by a licensed Veterinarian within 72 hours after receiving the puppy whether it be through pick up or shipping.

If within 72 hours the Veterinarian finds that the puppy is in poor health, suffering from any hereditary or commuicative disease which could result in demise, extended veterinary care or future development of the puppy Vetese must be notified immediately and the puppy sent back to us with sufficient documentation from the Veterinarian who examined the puppy.  On return of the puppy we will take the puppy to our own Veterinarian for our own evaluation.

If the result proves to be the same then the Buyer will be provided with a replacement puppy if one is available, have the option to be placed on our waiting list for the next available litter or receive a full refund of the puppy price ($1500 CDN) excluding any and all shipping costs.

We also guarantee our puppies against any congenital or hereditary disabling disease(s) including hip and elbow dysplasia diagnosed and severely exhibited within 24 months of age.  We must be notified immediately and within the 24 months of such case and provided with a full Veterinary report, history, x-rays, OFA reports, etc..  We will also have the dog examined and any necessary x-ray's by our own Veterinarian.

It is important to understand that hip dysplasia is a multifactorial disease which means that more than just genetics play a role in it, there are other factors such as nutrition and environment which play a role in a dog developing the disorder.  Hip Dysplasia has four major causes which are genetics, diet, overfeeding and too much exercise at a young age.  It is felt that genetics play a 25% and 30% role in a dog having hip dysplasia.  Which leaves the owner responsible for 70% to 75% in their dog developing good or bad hips.

That being said, if the recommended feeding, proper exercise and limitations are not provided to the puppy the health guarantee is null and void.

If a puppy does develop hip dysplasia through purely genetics within 24 months than the Buyer will have the option to receive a replacement puppy from our next available litter or upon proof of spay/neuter reimburse the Buyer an amount determined by Vetese in line with the condition and its effects on the dogs life in which the amount shall not exceed, in total and in combination for all conditions a lifetime maximum of one half of the purchase price of the originally purchased puppy ($1500/$750).  If reimbursement is given the Breeder will pay the "up to" half purchase price back either to the Veterinarian performing the surgery or to the Buyer after surgery has been performed and the required documentation from the Veterinarian is provided to Vetese.

A detailed Health Guarantee Agreement will be provided upon approval of puppy application.
