Due to the sudden passing of my father on July 5th I have not been updating my website regularly or answering emails as this is an extremely hard time for me. My father truly was my bestfriend, my life and my whole world!! I do apologize to everyone who have been watching and waiting for updates as well as to anyone who has tried to contact me and not received a response. Going foward, I will be trying my best to respond to any emails and keep the website updated as best that I can.
I have updated the photo album for Litter C today as well as given each puppy their own photo album. Please have a look at their cute little selves, they are getting so big and are absolutely beautiful. They are both doing very well and have been a great help for me as they give lots of kisses and cuddles to help me feel better. =) |

Happy 2nd Birthday to my precious 'little' Litter A babies!! Our 'little' Abby weighs 120lbs and Nikko weighs 128.5lbs...WOW!! They certainly aren't little babies anymore!! ;-)

Jerzie's puppies (Litter C) have officially been named. The little girl's name is Calabria and will be called Calli for short, so pretty!! The little boy's name will be Cesare Riagan, calling name Riagan. I am so excited about his name because Cesare is my grandfathers name and his owner picked it to honour him and my Italian background as well Riagan is a celtic name in honour of her background so it works out pefectly. Riagan actually means 'little king' and Cesare means 'long haired' so it fits perfectly together....long haired little king!!! This means so much to me and is so very special!!! |

Jerzie and her beautiful babies are all doing great!! They are such content little puppies! Their eyes are starting to open and they are weeble wobble walking now ;-) instead of crawling.

Jerzie and her babies are doing great!! Jerzie is such a wonderful Mom just as I always knew she would be, she loves them so much. She will not leave the whelping box, it is all I can do to make her go out and use the washroom. She is so cute, she cries when the babies cry...so loving she is, such a sweetheart!!
I have created a photo album for these beautiful babies and I will be keeping it updated as much as possible so please have a look and watch them grow! ;-) |

 Jerzie had two beautiful babies today, a boy and a girl!!
After a long few days of waiting she had to end up getting a c-section. All went very well, Jerzie and her babies are happy and healthy.
I am so happy that she has brought puppies in to this world, it is the moment I have been waiting for!!
They truly are very special puppies!! |

I have wonderful and exciting news....JERZIE IS PREGANT!!!
After trying for so long she is finally pregnant and I couldn't be happier, she is going to be such a wonderful mother and her puppies are going to be absolutely beautiful!!! This truely is my dream come true as she is the one that inspired me to breed long haired gsd's.
We went for her ultrasound today and that is when we seen the precious little bundles, I even cried in the Vet's office because I was so happy (lol), he probably thinks I'm nuts! ;-)

"My visit with beautiful Abby" |
 Today I went to visit Delores and Abby (Litter A). It was so nice to see her again, she's gotten sooo big since the last time I seen her. Hard to believe that she could get anymore beautiful but she certainly did, she is absolutely gorgeous and a sweetheart personality!! I wanted to steal her but Delores let me know right away that, that was NOT going to happen...lol ;-)

Jerzie's blood work has all come back ok so now we are just waiting until her next heat cycle and plan to do a surgerical insemination. Apparently the sucess rate of this type of insemination is 70% higher so that is hopeful that we will have some Jerzie babies!! =) |

 This is just a cute picture of Jerzie with my daughter Christmas morning. When Jerzie gets excited she ALWAYS has to have something in her mouth and has a habit of always grabbing the first thing she sees which is usually a shoe...sometimes these shoes get lost because she will go outside with them and leave them somewhere. Although she never chews them it is just as bad because they seem to be lost for good...lol
So since this has happened to my daughters shoes several times Jerzie got her a new pair of sneakers for Christmas with an "I'm sorry" note on the tag (lol). So this picture was taken of Jerzie with the new sneaker in her mouth while my daughter is giving her the 'naughty girl' point the finger (lol). |

Jerzie had her ultrasound today and as I suspected, she is not pregnant!! Next step, blood work to see if there is anything wrong preventing her from getting pregnant.
This is very disappointing news but we are going to continue to try and get to the bottom of it, we just have to take one step at a time and hopefully there will be a happy ending...babies!! |

Jerzie was bred (AI) on November 25th and 27th! Because of her past history I'm not confident that the breeding took but will know for sure in 25 to 30 days when I take her in for an ultrasound. I will definitely keep everyone posted with any updates. |

Today was very promising and hopeful...I finally found a vet who specializes in reproduction and artificial insemination so I am now extremely hopeful that we will finally be able to have a successful breeding with Jerzie. We just have to wait until Jerzie's next heat cycle which should be the end of November or early December and we will attempt another AI. Keeping my fingers crossed!! =) |

This evening Justice and I had a very special visit from Bianca (Litter B) and her Mom Annette. I was so lucky and happy to have them get her because they are my neighbours so this means I get to see her all the time! =)
So tonight they went for a walk and stopped in to visit with us. Justice and Bianca were so very happy to see each other and I'm glad that Justice got to see her because she has been so sad since the babies left, all she does is cry and look for them.
After they left Justice was so excited, she was doing her 'happy dance' for about ten minutes (lol) and of course I did a happy dance with her because I miss them so much as well. ;-) |

Today I took Jerzie to the vet to see if she was pregnant and left with some disappointing news again, she is not pregnant!!
I am going to try to find another vet, one that possibly specializes in artifical insemination. Hopefully this will bring better luck. |

All of my precious little babies are gone as of today! =(
It is a very sad day for me because it is so hard to let them go as I get so attached to them but it is a very happy day for all the puppies and their new families so for that I try to be happy because I know they all have such wonderful homes and will live a happy life!

"Puppies on a Clothes Line" |
 So excited today, I finally got to take the 'clothes line' picture that I wanted!!!
I had seen this 'clothes line' picture on the internet with Golden Retrievers and I thought I just had to have it, it was so adorable.
My friends Mom sewed hooks on the back of the baby onezies and we just hung them on the line (which was only inches of the ground).
It turned out so adorable!!! I just love it!

For the past couple of days Jerzie was outside playing with all the puppies...she just loves them and the puppies love her as well, especially Purple Boy, he absolutely adores Jerzie, so cute to watch them.
Jerzie ended up being my big helper with keeping them from running off in every which direction, she even helped me round them up after play time was over and they ALL followed her back to the puppy house when it was time to go in.
So I told Jerzie that she is officially hired as my puppy helper!! ;-)

"First Trip To The Vet" |
 Today I took all of the puppies to the Vet for their 6 week vaccinations and microchips!! They were all so very good, not a peep out of them for the drive or the Vet visit...just the perfect little angels they are!! ;-)
I had bought a new large crate with wheels thinking that would be good to take them to the vet in but the crate wouldn't fit inside my truck cabin so I had to put it in the back of the truck with the puppies in the back seat of my truck...they were so cute, some of them were standing up on the windows looking out while others just had a nap!
When I got to the vet I got the crate off and put them all in it, went to pick it up to pull it in and it wouldn't budge!! They were all too heavy for it (lol) and with that the crate handle broke and I wasn't even beyond my truck yet in the parking lot. So one of the staff and my daughter helped me carry them all in. So much for the crate with wheels!!! What a scene (lol)!!
The puppies all had a clean bill of health, had their shots but couldn't get their microchips because the Vet didn't have any...she has to order some in and then we have to go back next week to get it done. So that will be another fun and exciting road trip! =)

Finally after over a week I am able to update the website today as I wasn't able to access it due to an error in my Site Builder. Hopefully now there will not be anymore bugs and I can continue updating on a regular basis as I had been.
All of the puppies are doing so good, they are getting so big and just a going concern now, really keeping me on my toes. Now when I let them out in the yard to play they are running everywhere, so busy exploring...so I have to make sure I have my 'chasing shoes' on (lol)! ;-)

Today the puppies moved out to their puppy house! =(
They handled it much better than I did...it is such an adjustment for me not having them right in the house with me.
But they love the space and get to go outside on their own!! They even got to play in their pool for the very first time, they aren't very sure of it yet but it was their first 'dip'...I'm pretty sure within the next week I won't be able to keep them out of it! ;-)

 Today Abby's 'Mom' Delores (Litter A) came to visit and see the new puppies and of course she loved them all.
She was so sweet and even brought a stuffed animal for Justice and a bag full of homemade treats and 3 big bones for each of the dogs which she got at the dog bakery. Of course now my dogs love her and want her to visit all the time! ;-)
We had a very nice afternoon, I always enjoy her company! =) |

All of their eyes are open and they are trying to walk around, although it is still weeble wobbly right now, so cute to watch them go. They had their first routine de-worming medicine today and most of them loved it, I guess they thought it was a nice treat! ;-)

"Seven Little Bundles" |
 Our little bundles of joy arrived today!! Justice delivered 7 healthy, beautiful puppies, 4 males and 3 females.
Justice and the puppies are doing great, she is just quite tired from having a long delivery as it lasted for 13 hours. She did not have a hard delivery, just long time lapses in between puppies.

I received an update and some pictures of Acerra (Willow) from her 'Mom' Nora this evening. Willow is doing great and she is absolutely beautiful!!!

This weekend I went to Bass River to visit with Nikko and his Mommy & Daddy. He is such a big boy which I knew given his weight at 105+ pounds at 10 months old but he is also VERY tall!! He is doing really well and is a happy boy not that I can blame him because he is spoiled for sure! ;-)

The AI breeding with Jerzie and Romeo did not take, therefore Jerzie is NOT pregnant!! This was very disappointing news especially since we thought she may have been pregnant but it seems that Jerzie actually had a false pregnancy which can show all the signs and symptoms of actually being pregnant.
So we will try another AI breeding again in June during her next heat cycle and hopefully it will take this time. |

 My father had this beautiful blanket made for me for Christmas, it is of Romeo, Justice and their first litter of 3 puppies (Litter "A"). He created the picture from several different individual pictures of the dogs and puppies making it look like one picture. I just love it.

Her 'Mom' (Nora) tells me that she is doing very well. They still haven't gotten any snow so she has yet to have her first play in the snow like her brother and sister have. We are sure she will just love it when they do get some as she loves to play in anything wet. I can't wait to see those pictures! :-)

Today I went to visit Abby and her new family again. I am so lucky to have the privledge of still being in her life on such a regular basis, thanks to her Mom (Delores).
Abby is getting so big and tall!!! She weighs 27lbs now and both of her ears are starting to stand. She is so beautiful and has such a wonderful personality. She hasn't yet been able to convince her new 'kitty' friends that they can be best buddies but she is still working on it ;-)
Abby went to her very first puppy class today which she loved...she had a lot of fun playing with all the other puppies there.

 Today Acerra went to her new home in Newfoundland. After a flight cancellation yesterday due to fog she finally made it to see her new family! She was very happy to see them as they were her.
Her new Mom (Nora) told me that she is adjusting very well which makes me so happy! She is lucky because she also has 3 little boys to play with her all the time and keep her busy. And I know how much she loves children so this will be great for her!
I will miss her greatly as she is such a sweet girl with so much personality.

 Ever since Nikko left on the 27th I have had my little girl Acerra in the house with me. She would have been so lonely in the 'puppy house' all by herself with no brother and sister to play with anymore. She was quite upset when Nikko left, she just cried and cried. So I thought it would be nice for her to stay in with me until she is ready to go to her new home. Plus I get to have extra special time with her. She already fits right in just like my other dogs, she loves to snuggle on the couch with me! ;-)
At bedtime I put her in the crate and she was so remarkably good, she only whimpered for a minute the first night I put her in there and then she was fine and she even slept through the night EVERY night!! She didn't even cry to get out in the mornings, I went to her and got her up! She is such a good little girl!!! :-) |

 Today Nikko went to his 'foster home' in Bass River with his new Mommy & Daddy (Rob & Jennifer).
He is such a good little boy and I'm going to miss him like crazy!! He already shows some signs of being like his Dad Romeo as he likes to snuggle and when you don't snuggle him he gives you a 'smack' with his paw!
I know he is going to a good home and because they are good friends of mine and are in my Foster Program I will get to see him all the time! :-) |

"First Visit With Abby" |
 My Mom and I went to visit Abby at her new home today, we had a wonderful visit! She is doing GREAT!! She is so very loved by everyone in her new family!! I can see that she is going to be spoiled rotten and we see nothing wrong with that! ;-)
Her new family are the sweetest, nicest people I have ever met...I feel as though I have known them forever!

 Today my precious little Abby went to her new home with Len & Delores of Eastern Passage.
They already love her so much and I just know she is going to be so happy living with them.
Delores already called me to give me an update (thank you :-)) and told me that Abby is adjusting very well and making herself right at home! She says that Abby is very happy and I'm so glad to hear that. They are so kind to have invited me over to see Abby next week, I can't wait to see her, I miss her so much already!! |

Her new home is in Newfoundland so she is going to have to fly there...which I'm sure is going to have myself and her new 'Mommy' (Nora) worrying about her in that she makes it there ok and isn't too scared.
But the good news for ME is that because she is flying she won't be able to go until the 29th instead of the 24th...so I get to spend an extra 5 days with her!! :-) |

I took the puppies to the Vet today to get their first shots and their microchips.
They were all weighed...both of the girls weigh 16.5lbs and the boy (Nikko) weighs 19lbs!!!
I also named Girl #1 today, her name will be Acerra!

 My precious little girl (girl #2) was sold today!! Her new family (Len & Delores) are extremely nice people and I know she will have a wonderful home with them. They have decided to name her Abby which I think suits her very well and it is also my step daughters name so that makes it extra special.
I will miss her terribly when she goes to her new home as I was contemplating keeping her myself. Although I cried for most of the night at the mere thought of her leaving I know she is going to a good home and her new owners told me that I can visit her anytime I want....I wonder if they realize I could be there every day??!! (LOL) |

The puppies moved out into the 'puppy house' today! :-( It was hard for me to put them out there, so worried about them not being right under me as they were in the house. They do seem to like it out there though. I put them in their pool for the first time today as well...they weren't sure what to make of it at first but they are getting used to it quite quickly now. |

"Puppy Progress" |
All of the puppies are doing very well. They are becoming more and more alert everyday!! They are starting to walk, they can see and hear. They are starting to play with each other!!
The smallest and last girl born seems to be the one who has all the 'firsts' first!! She is ahead of the other two in everything that they do. I have a funny feeling she might be the 'little boss' in this litter when they get a bit older. ;-)
All of the puppies weigh 6lbs PLUS! The little boy is affectionately called "fatty pants", he is so chubby he rolls everywhere instead of walking or crawling. Of course you can guess that he weighs the most out of all of them...almost 7lbs. |

 Today Justice had her puppies!!
She had 3...2 girls and a boy!!
The delivery went very well, not one problem. She was of course very tired by the end of it, it was a long day for her.
I will be keeping the boy for my breeding program. He will be one of my foster babies. My good friend will be taking him to his home when he is ready to go at 8 weeks old. |

 Today was a very sad day, we had to say goodbye to Chantz today.
She just couldn't stay with us any longer, her body was giving out on her so we had to make the very hard decision to have her put to sleep.
It was especially hard because her mind was still 100% fine - she was still the happy, bright girl she always was - unfortunately her body wasn't the same.
She had been having uncontrolable bowl movements and difficulty walking and especially climbing stairs due to her degenerative spinal issues. The last couple of days before her passing she was particularly having difficulties, she could barely get up and was losing bladder control.
I like to think she is in a better place now, maybe even with my precious Nan who passed away a little over a year ago playing ball, going for walks and swimming with her favorite frizbee. |

Today we had to take Romeo to the vet because he wasn't feeling good :-(
He had a large amount of mucas coming from his nose, was very tired and listless and had a high fever. The Vet said that he had "shipping fever" which some animals get (ie: dogs, horses) when shipped long distances. This usually happens at the 7 to 10th day after shipping.
She gave him a needle to bring his fever down and gave me some medicine to take home to give him for the next week.
Poor baby slept most of the day :-( |

We have all had a couple very long nights in the crate!! Romeo still isn't used to this so he is up all night crying.
Other then that he is doing very well adjusting to everything.
Romeo and Justice love to play - they tire themselves right out running in the yard.
Romeo also loves the water like all of my dogs - he jumped right in the pool with Justice today! I am hoping it is nice out this week so I can take him swimming in the lake before winter comes!! |

Today our new "man of the house" arrived from Germany!!
This beautiful boys name is Romeo!! We thought the name was quite appropriate given the living situation he was coming to - living with 3 girls ;-)
Romeo was very happy to be home, he had such a long flight.
He is so good, quiet and loves to cuddle!! |

"First steps toward recovery" |
Today was the second day that we took Justice to "Doggy Daycare!" Ever since she was attacked by my Uncle's dog she has been very fearful of other dogs which has caused her to be "dog aggressive," this is why I want her to go to "daycare" so she can overcome her fear by being around other strange dogs. Her first day yesterday was pretty stressful for her, she was very scared with all of the other dogs - there were 15 of them. We stayed for a 1/2 hour and by the end of the session she was a little more comfortable but still stuck by my side. Today she did very well, hardly any barking and aggression when we walked in - she even attempted to play with some of the dogs. At the end she got very angry at a 14 month old German Shepherd boy because he seemed to "fall in love" with her instantly and she wanted no part of him so she would lunge at him to back off - he did not listen because he thought it was fun and liked that she did that to him, she on the other hand was very serious. But it didn't matter to him, he just "loved" her and that was it. We had to hold on to the other dog so that he would stay away from her - he wouldn't play with the other dogs at all, all he wanted was her!! ;-)

 Today we decided to get a new puppy from Germany!!
He is already 3-1/2 months old.
I am hoping that he will be here by the end of the week :-)

Justice is doing great and healing very nicely!! It is very hard to make her understand that she just can not play - at 4 months old this is especially hard for her to grasp. She will be back to normal very soon!! :-) |

"Terrible
Experience" |
A horrible thing happened to Justice today, during a family BBQ she was attacked by my uncle's dog which is a Labrador Retreiver. I had to rush her to emergency as she was bit pretty bad. She had to have a large amount of stitches on her face and in her nose. She will have to wear this cone you see her pictured in until she has healed.

Today I took Justice swimming by herself for the first time, without Jerzie coming along with us. She did enjoy her swim but she kept running around with her toy in her mouth "crying" looking for Jerzie - she would run around all the places that Jerzie always goes and "cry and cry." It was so cute. She was like a lost little soul ;-) |

Justice swam on her own today for the very first time!! Up until now I used to carry her out in to the water and put her down to swim to shore. But today she was a "big girl" and swam out all by herself to get her toy. |

I took Justice and Chantz to the vet today for their needles. Justice weighs 31.5lbs.
We didn't get very good news for Chantz, she already has arthritis in her back legs and now she has degenerative spinal issues which causes her back legs to wobble and her back feet to lay out sideways to balance. The vet says she is not in pain but it is a matter of "quality of life." Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done for her so I will have to soon make a very hard decision :-( |

Justice is doing very well, she is so smart and already knows how to "sit" "lay down" "come" and we are working on "stay" which she is picking up very quickly also - she is only 11 weeks old so this is great progress. |

I took Justice and Jerzie Girl swimming again today. Chantz couldn't come this time because she has a very hard time getting in and out of the truck - even with her ramp. Shhh, don't tell her we had a great time swimming because it is her favorite thing to do ;-)
Justice was swimming a lot more this time - she would come to me and then swim very fast back to shore. She sat on the shore line for some of the time watching Jerzie swim way out - she was crying because she wanted to be with her but she just isn't sure enough yet to go out that far. |

 Justice had a nap with her "Daddy" this afternoon - looks like they had a very long day!!
She went to the vet today to get a needle - she was very good. She weighed 19.5lbs.
She was pretty tough with a huge adult Rottweiler while we were there - he wasn't very scared but she was certainly trying to show her size ;-) Maybe that is why she was so tired but that doesn't explain why "Daddy" is so tired - he wasn't barking at the big Rottweiler :-) |

"Settling In..."

 Justice has had a couple long nights in the "crate." She doesn't like it at all and cries a lot through the night but she will get used to it within the next day or two. She would much rather be with me, "her mom" cuddled up in the bed but we can't do that yet because she isn't housebroken. She is getting along great and doing really well with going outside to use the bathroom - I know she will be housebroken very early. She loves to play with Jerzie!! Jerzie is only 2 years old so she is still very playful herself. She tends to "mother" young puppies and is very good with them. Although because of her size she finds it hard to keep track of the little devils as they can get underneath her very easily and she can't see them. Chantz isn't so playful because she is getting old now, she would much rather watch them play and Justice and Jerzie are just fine with that. Chantz is actually very happy that Justice is here because this means Jerzie isn't bugging her to play anymore so now she can rest and enjoy the "show."

"Our New Arrival" |
 Jelsey Vom Haus Barrett (calling name "Justice") arrived all the way from Germany today!! She is 8 weeks old. My daughter Alissa holds her for this picture after we came home from the airport. Justice had a very long flight today but she is feeling great, very happy to be home. Her ear is still green from her tattoo but that will fade away very soon. Both of her ears were standing up at the age of 4 weeks old, which her breeder told me was the first time she had seen puppies ears stand that young in her 10 years of breeding German Shepherds. One ear has flopped due to teething. She is a very happy little girl and already loves to play with her two "sisters" Chantz and Jerzie. She isn't sure about the cat Jinx and has lots to say (ie: bark) about when she sees her but I'm sure Chantz and Jerzie will show her the ropes when it comes to dealing with the cat - who is the true "boss" of the house.
